About this agar
Organic Agar Powder is a plain gelling base derived from red algae. It contains no malt extract, no nutrients and no coloring, so you control exactly what goes into your media. Combine it with a nutrient such as malt extract to make your own agar plates.
How to use it
- Mix 30 g of agar per liter of distilled water, plus your chosen nutrients.
- Sterilize at 15 PSI for 30 minutes.
- Pour into petri dishes or containers while still hot.
